Theseus – Hero of Athens and Slayer of the Minotaur

Theseus – the legendary hero of Greek mythology, son of Aegeus and the princess Aethra, King of Athens and slayer of the Minotaur, who in the labyrinth of Crete defeated the monstrous man-bull hybrid and saved Athenian youth from the bloody tribute imposed by Minos – is captured here in a fully dynamic, climactic moment of combat, his sword raised high above his head and his shield extended far to the side, in a pose of sweeping martial energy.
